Citylink Gold celebrates first anniversary…
Luxury bus service Citylink Gold, which was branded by asdesignuk for its launch in June 2010, celebrates the first anniversary of its maiden voyage on Tuesday. The service offers luxury comfort and onboard refreshments and Wi-Fi on its links between Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness. See the branding and launch materials here.
Celebrating ten years…
September 2011 will mark the tenth anniversary of my entry into the world of Art & Design. To celebrate, I have put together my first ‘proper’ portfolio. After those humble few years of having nothing of any merit to put into a portfolio, and the last few years of being too busy to create one, I have spent much of the cold winter of 2010/11 designing the 50-page book I am now awaiting delivery of. The book heavily profiles my work for Toyah, Stagecoach, megabus.com and Spark Response as well as highlighting work for more recent clients and those jobs I consider part of my development as a commercial designer. Happy (2nd week of the) New Year…
Well… it’s already the 2nd working week (and first full working week) of 2011. So far, we’ve been busy finishing off a number of projects that started last year as well as a few taken on in late December and early January. These include a number of internal communications projects for Stagecoach and Winter Sale materials for megabus.com. This week, we also kick off new website projects for Spark and Velvet, a new shoot with Saša Savić, artwork for the upcoming new album by The Humans and a number of digital music releases for Toyah (as well as an exciting 2011 tour identity)… and a whole lot more! I’ve also been working on a new portfolio book, collecting some of my work from my very first freelance commission in 2002 up to the here and now!
Here’s to a busy and fun-filled 2011…

2010 all wrapped up…
As we get ready to hybernate for a week or so, we have just issued our first ever Christmas card, which depicts 2010… all wrapped up. Imagine, if you will, samples of printed work from the past 12 months (or so, we went back maybe as far as November 2009) wrapped lovingly around a gift box and tied up with ribbons and a big bow. Our way of saying “Thank you and Merry Christmas” to all of our clients, suppliers, colleagues and friends who have worked with and supported us in 2010… see you in 2011.

It’s been a busy December for asdesignuk, with festive projects on the go all month. Christmas card for Velvet, eCard for Stagecoach North East, 2011 Calendar for Spark, festive logos for Fabusales and McNally & Thompson, promotion of the Hazel O’Conner Collective charity single, Re-Joyce (In The Bleak Midwinter), featuring Toyah, and of course our very own, very first, Christmas card.
